Boxing is in Aris’ bones so much so, that he is the youngest voting member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame.  Aris was born and raised in New Bedford Massachusetts where he discovered and nurtured his two loves- boxing and jazz.  From 1995 to 2000 Aris trained under the tutelage of great trainers Louis “Bucky” Vincent and Nathan Livramento alongside notable fighters as Jason “Schoolboy” Pires, “Sucra” Ray Olivera, and “The Sandman” Scott Pemberton.

After graduating from Husson University with a degree in sports management, Aris moved to New York City to take a position at Showtime Boxing.  From there, Aris was hired to be Lou Dibella’s executive assistant.  Aris is currently the executive assistant at Cedric Kushner’s Gotham Boxing.  Since 2008, Aris has worked at Compubox.  He was instrumental in piloting and fine-tuning HBO’s PunchZone program, an animated feature that enables viewers of the live telecast to observe where on a boxer’s body the blows are landing.  Aris also helped Brooklyn College archive late boxing historian Hank Kaplan’s boxing memorabilia collection.

When he isn’t working in the boxing world, Aris can be found adding his vast early to mid-90’s wardrobe or listening to Miles Davis.  Aris and his dvd collection of early UFC events and 80’s and 90’s WWE matches reside in Astoria, Queens.
